Reps — Workout Tracker

The short version: Reps is designed to be privacy-first. We do not run analytics, we do not serve ads, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone. Your workout data is yours.
What We Don't Do
We believe in being upfront about what we don't collect, because that list is far longer than what we do:
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No crash reporting or telemetry
- No advertising or ad networks
- No location tracking
- No device fingerprinting or unique device identifiers
- No contact list or calendar access
- No third-party data brokers or sharing of any kind
- No behavioral profiling
What We Collect
We collect only what is necessary for the app to function:
- Email address
- Account creation and sign-in
- Stored in Firebase Authentication (Google)
- Google profile name
- Display name (only if you use Google Sign-In)
- Stored in Firebase Authentication (Google)
- Workout data
- Exercises, sets, reps, weight — the core of the app
- Stored on your device + Firebase Firestore (if signed in)
- Routines
- Workout templates you create
- Stored on your device + Firebase Firestore (if signed in)
- Personal records
- PR tracking and achievements
- Stored on your device + Firebase Firestore (if signed in)
- App preferences
- Theme, units, rest timer settings
- Stored on your device only — never transmitted
Local-First Architecture
Reps stores all your data locally on your device first. Cloud sync via Firebase Firestore is optional and only activates when you create an account and sign in. You can use the app without an account, in which case your data never leaves your device.
Your app preferences (theme, weight units, timer settings) are always stored locally and are never synced to the cloud, even when you are signed in.
Account Options
- No account: Use the app fully offline. No data is transmitted anywhere.
- Email or Google Sign-In: Enables cloud sync tied to your identity for cross-device access.
Third-Party Services
When you create an account, Reps uses the following Google Firebase services:
- Firebase Authentication — to manage sign-in securely
- Cloud Firestore — to sync your workout data across devices
These services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. No other third-party services receive your data.
Data Security
All data transmitted between the app and Firebase is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Firebase Firestore data is encrypted at rest on Google's servers. Your data is stored in a private, per-user collection that is not accessible to other users.
Your Rights and Controls
- Export: You can export all your data as a JSON file at any time from the app.
- Delete: You can delete individual workouts, routines, exercises, or personal records. You can also clear all data from Settings.
- Account deletion: To delete your account and all associated data from Firebase, contact us at support@trackreps.com.
Children's Privacy
Reps is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
