Privacy Policy
Reps — Workout Tracker
Last updated: March 9, 2026
The short version: Reps is designed to be privacy-first and local-first. Your workout data stays on your device by default. There are no ads, no behavioral profiling, and no selling of your data. If we ever add lightweight diagnostics or aggregate app-quality analytics, they will be disclosed here and kept narrowly focused on reliability and product improvement.
What We Collect
Reps does not collect, transmit, or store your workouts, routines, personal records, or preferences on our servers. We do not operate a Reps cloud for your training data. Your workout data stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to back it up to your own Google Drive.
Today, Reps does not use advertising analytics, ad networks, or behavioral profiling. If we ever add limited privacy-focused diagnostics or aggregate app-quality analytics, we will update this policy first and keep that data narrowly scoped to understanding app reliability, performance, and active usage at a high level.
What We Don't Do
- No advertising or ad networks
- No sale or sharing of your workout data
- No location tracking
- No device fingerprinting or unique device identifiers
- No contact list or calendar access
- No third-party data brokers or sharing of any kind
- No behavioral profiling or personalized ads
- No account creation or sign-up required for core app use
- No access to files in your Google Drive outside the private app data folder
Optional Google Drive Backup
Reps offers an optional backup feature that saves your data to your own Google Drive account. This is entirely opt-in and works as follows:
- Your storage, your data: Backups are saved to a hidden, app-specific folder on your Google Drive using the
driveAppdataScope. Reps cannot see any other files on your Drive, and the backup files are not visible in your Drive UI. - What's backed up: Workouts, routines, exercises, and personal records — the same data stored locally, in a single backup file.
- No server involvement: Data goes directly from your device to your Google Drive. We do not operate any servers and never see your data.
- Disconnect anytime: You can disconnect Google Drive from Settings at any time. Existing backups remain on your Drive until you delete them.
Third-Party Services
If you choose to enable Google Drive backup, the app uses the following Google services:
- Google Sign-In — to authenticate with your Google account for Drive access
- Google Drive API — to read and write backup files in the app-specific
appDataFolder
These services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Reps does not use third-party ad networks or data brokers. If we introduce limited privacy-focused diagnostics or app-quality analytics in the future, we will list them here before they are enabled.
Data Security
All data stored locally on your device is managed by the app's local database. If you enable Google Drive backup, data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and stored on Google's servers under your own Google account's security protections.
Your Rights and Controls
- Export: You can export all your data at any time from the app.
- Import and restore: You can import backups and restore from Google Drive from within the app.
- Delete: You can delete individual workouts, routines, exercises, or personal records. You can also clear all data from Settings.
- Google Drive backups: You can disconnect Google Drive and delete backup files from your Google account at any time.
Children's Privacy
Reps is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
